Hi, I am Huma
About Me
a visual thinker at heart,
and a designer shaped by many creative lives.

My journey didn’t begin in product design. I started in fashion—drawn to conceptual silhouettes and visual storytelling that went beyond utility. I spent 8 years designing clothing between China and the U.S., including co-founding a lingerie brand in 2021. Though the brand eventually paused, the experience shaped how I see identity, detail, and emotional design.
Later, life led me somewhere unexpected: kitchen design. I became a kitchen designer out of practical needs, but the transition changed me. In this space, I learned to design with systems, constraints, and real users in mind. I shifted from expression to function—trading runway drama for layout logic, and conceptual emotion for measurable impact. This pivot sparked my interest in product design and UI/UX.
Now, I bring both sides into my work. I still carry the sensitivity and visual intensity of a fashion designer—someone who notices how things feel. But I pair that with a UX mindset: understanding flows, identifying real problems, and designing tools that people actually want to use.
I believe the best products don’t just solve problems—they also feel right. I’m most energized when I can combine aesthetic intuition with design logic to build tools that are useful, intuitive, and quietly delightful.
Whether you're hiring, collaborating, or just curious — let's talk!
